Isabel Guarch continues to look for inspiration to shape her collections in Mallorca and the Mediterranean. In this occasion, architecture has been the source of inspiration to bring to life her new collection: Modernismo 1903.
The beauty of the emblematic Gran Hotel in Mallorca, current headquarters of Caixa Forum and built by Luís Doménech i Montaner in 1903 is one of the most important modernist buildings in Mallorca. It has been captured by Isabel Guarch in unique pieces where, with great mastery and craftmanship, has reproduced the most representative aspects of this building.
A small wrought iron flower in Gran Hotel has served as a starting point for Isabel Guarch to create Modernismo 1903. A collection that pays tribute to the beauty of a great era.
Delicate silhouettes and curved lines have been made into rings, earrings, pendants and bracelets where 18k gold is intertwined to create designs that perfectly reproduce the majesty of Mallorcan modernist architecture.
The small touches of color come by natural gems like aquamarines and prehnites, as well as baroque pearls and diamonds. Natural gems slide through the curves of the jewels so it's possible to leave the design just in gold.
