The collection of high jewelry #HappyHeart created by Isabel Guarch and Domingo Zapata completed some of the creations of Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada for the upcoming Summer 2019, perfectly matching the spirit of the parade’s celebration, full of hearts and color. The models came out on the catwalk to the rhythm of "Tengo el corazón contento" sung by Marisol and other Spanish songs from all eras with a #HappyHeart spirit, like the “Aserejé” while throwing kisses to the public.

Signed by the Mallorcan painter residing in New York, Domingo Zapata, and made by the jeweler Isabel Guarch, the #HappyHeart high jewelry collection is a celebration of Mallorca, the birthplace of the two creators and of all that makes our hearts happy.

That Domingo Zapata’s HEART is a JEWEL is no longer a metaphor thanks to the Mallorcan jeweler Isabel Guarch.

They both share their LOVE for their birthplace, an island that cheers up the heart of the Mallorcan painter, who currently resides in Manhattan but is always trying to come back to connect with his roots and recover energies thanks to everything that makes him HAPPY.

From MALLORCA, and as a result of this common passion and the friendship that has been forged between both, this high jewelry collection has been born and it promises to steal our hearts.

As a result of this passion for the Mallorcan island, a very special collaboration has emerged between both, which led to the high jewelry collection #HappyHeart. Based on one of the recurring elements in Domingo Zapata’s artistic iconography: the heart.

Isabel Guarch has mastered how to translate Zapata’s passion and iconography into the language and color of the gems and gold, which led to the creation of pieces which flawlessly mix their identities.

The collection consists of three iconic pieces, made in 18K white gold, Burmese rubies and black diamonds.

This collaboration revolves around a recurring element in the artist’s iconography: the heart, and a feeling that he shares with Isabel Guarch: their passion for their native island, Mallorca. The Mallorcan jeweler has mastered how to translate every aspect into the language and color of the gems and gold, which led to the creation of pieces which flawlessly mix their identities.

All the collection pieces work as talismans through which to evoke and remember all those things that take us back to happy moments and experiences, as it happens to Domingo Zapata with Mallorca, achieving, wherever we are, a #HappyHeart.

The ruby is one of the four precious gems and its name comes from ruber, which means red in Latin.

It is a fact that the color is cultural and its perception is extremely personal; that is why a color can be the best expression of a motivation or a feeling.

Talking about Domingo Zapata is talking about passion, temperament, talent and vital energy; qualities that, if turned into a color, would definitely belong to the range of reds.

All these feelings come together and are turned into a jewel that reproduces Zapata’s heart in 18K white gold and interprets passion in the form of 60 rubies of the most exquisite origin: Burma, while being surrounded by 88 black diamonds.
